The Anglican Church of  St. John the Baptist, Cobble Hill, BC

Memorial Committee

This committee meets periodically to recommend memorials to the Parish Council.

Over time various parishioners have gifted the church monies or funded furnishings. A book which records these gifts and furnishings is located in the front entrance of the church. The contents of this book have been published in the Fall Edition of Parish The Thought so that parishioners can check it for errors and omissions.

There are also a number of plaques located throughout the church entrance and within the church acknowledging gifts over the years.

The furnishings in the hall kitchen were all gifted by various parishioners. Some people wish to remain anonymous and their gifts, although appreciated, are not recorded in the memorial book.

Smaller money gifts which are not designated to anything specifically are placed in a memorial fund and these monies are used to fund church projects.

The blue hymn books in the pews were purchased by parishioners several years ago and on the inside cover the names of the memorial are recorded.

Last fall, parishioners generously contributed to a large purchase of new tables for use in the church hall and for other events such as the fall festival.
