Pastoral Care
Jesus is asking us to
Feed those who are hungry
Give a drink to those who are thirsty
Visit those who are imprisoned
Are you wanting to respond to this invitation but
don’t know how?
Consider joining the Pastoral Care Ministry Team of St. John’s Church!
Pastoral Care has been restructured at St. John’s Church as we
continue to grow as a church family. Two ministry teams have
been formed:
A. Pastoral Care Visiting Team – Members commit to:
- Visit one or more of our parishioners on a regular basis for a
length of time dependant on the needs of each parishioner
- Attend a monthly meeting with all visiting team members and
the Rector in order to provide ongoing communication and ensure
continuous care – meetings are held on the last Friday of the
month, 10am – 12 noon.
B. Meal Ministry Team –
Members commit to:
- Ensuring that nutritious meals are available to our
parishioners and their families during times of emergency or
profound loss. Frozen meals are kept in the freezer in the
church kitchen
- An ideal ministry for those who love to cook, and/or prefer to
work behind the scenes.
Some of our parishioners thirst for your company, conversation
and prayers; some are fed with good meals made with love; and
some are imprisoned or isolated in their homes, a hospital bed
or an extended care facility, and long to be remembered and
visited.

God’s compassionate presence in action!
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you...
