The Anglican Church of  St. John the Baptist, Cobble Hill, BC

The Stewardship Committee

Several members of the congregation sit on the Stewardship Committee, including the Rector, the Rector's Warden, and representatives from all three worship services.

The mandate of the Stewardship Committee is to encourage education in Christian Stewardship — how we as members of St. John's Church share our time, our talents, and our financial gifts with our church family.

We meet this mandate by organizing a focus on Stewardship one month a year — May is Stewardship Month at St. John's Church.

In our Stewardship Month, Guest speakers are invited to address the congregation, a booklet or brochure entitled St. John the Baptist Anglican Church — Celebrating our Community is published, and along with members of the Welcoming Committee, we planned and hosted an annual Spring Open House and Tea on the last Saturday in May.

Stewardship: Our generous response to
our generous God!

When we meet: The committee meets monthly from January to June to plan for activities during Stewardship Month at St. John's Church.

We welcome to this committee anyone who is grateful for the many blessings in their life and is interested in giving back — in supporting to mission and ministry of St. John's Church.
