Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care Committee, in partnership with the Parish priest(s), will provide for the pastoral and spiritual needs of al members of the Parish by communicating and coordinating with the following ministries:

Small Group Ministries

Small groups, meeting regularly to provide mutual care through sharing faith, fellowship and prayer.

Healing Ministry (Order of Saint Luke)

Priest(s) and parishione committed to pray for health and wholeness of body, mind and spirit.

Parish Visiting Ministry

Trained volunteers providing care to St John's parishioners who are in need of support, whether at home, in hospital or a care home.
Home Communion provided by parish priests or specially trained lay
communion assistants).

Structure:

The Pastoral Care Committee will be composed of a representative from each ministry and coordinated by a chairperson.
The Chairperson will liaise with the priests) on a regular basis The Pastoral Care committee will meet, at a minimum, every three months.
